2017年の結成から現在まで新潟を拠点に全国で活動するアイドルユニットcana÷biss（カナビス）。今年3月の主催イベントにて、「2024年3月3日」に活動終了することを発表した彼女たちが放つ、5thアルバムにして、ラスト・アルバムとなる『BEAUTIFUL DREAMER』を2023年9月27日に発売することが決定！昨年リリースしたシングル（『SIGNAL / わたしたちの戦争』、『Hello. New Life / アカシア』）の4曲に、新曲4曲を加えた計8曲を収録。今回もmekakushe、ぱやちの、三嶋道人、中元秀哉（どうせ未だ知ラナイ、ex.午前四時、朝焼けにツキ）、丸山漠（a crowd of rebellion）、三島想平（cinema staff）ら、多彩な作家陣が楽曲提供を行っている。Cana÷biss is an idol unit based in Niigata and active all over the country since its formation in 2017. 新潟を拠点に都内はもちろん、全国で積極的にライブパフォーマンスを披露している、アイドルユニット「cana÷biss」（カナビス）が今年10月に開催したワンマンライブで初披露し、メンバー自ら考案したキャッチーな振り付けが以降のライブで好評を得ている「Hello.New Life」と、同グループとしては久しぶりとなる壮大なバラード曲「アカシア」の2曲を2022年12月14日（水）にリリース決定！「Hello.New Life」は丸山漠（a crowd of rebellion）が作詞作曲を手掛け、「コロナ禍を経て、こんな時代だからこそアイドルが本来の役割を担うべく、明るくて楽しい前向きになれるような歌詞」をコンセプトにした躍動感溢れるアッパーチューンとなっている。「アカシア」は6月にリリースしたシングル「わたしたちの戦争」に続いて、三島想平（cinema staff）が作詞作曲を手掛けており、「悲哀」を主軸に置いた歌詞ながら力強いメロディによる中毒性の高い壮大なバラード曲に仕上がっている。The idol unit "cana ÷ biss", which is based in Niigata and is actively performing live performances not only in Tokyo but throughout the country, performed for the first time at the one-man live held in October this year, and the members themselves devised a catchy song.
